Welcome to our first newsletter for 2014. We’re looking forward to a successful year and hope yours is both safe and prosperous.
In this issue of Customer Konektions we review some of the key findings from Konekt’s annual Konekt Market Report – to get the full report go to www.konekt.com.au/marketreport to request a copy.
When analysing the data for the Konekt Market Report we saw significant differences between the compensable and non-compensable data sets across all injury types. The data for psychological injuries stood out. Konekt observes heightened community concern with mental health issues and the intersection with workplace health. Not only did we want to bring you the trends but also guidance on how to manage these issues and we are pleased that following on from this report Dr Peter Cotton FAPS, has written an article on identifying and addressing psychological injury, and beyondblue have discussed a number of programs they have in place to help businesses build mentally healthy workplaces.
Greg McCarthy, CEO WorkCoverSA has spoken with us about a of range of programs they have in place designed to improve performance of the Scheme which again highlights the benefits of consistent early intervention.
We also look at two new initiatives at Konekt designed to improve outcomes and provide greater access to real-time reporting information – referral triaging and the Konekt Customer Portal.
