Konekt supports the Soldier On Hand Up Program

In early 2014 Konekt entered into a partnership arrangement with Soldier On, a charity focused on supporting the reintegration of contemporary returning defence force members back into society.

Soldier On are involved in many global events, and more locally have recently launched the Hand Up Program.

This program is core to what Soldier On do for the contemporary veterans and provides education, reintegration, vocational and job placement support. It includes comprehensive support programs and tools that veterans and their partners can access to assist in their efforts to become independent and productive members of their community, with the end goal of gainful employment.

Konekt will be providing vocational assessments and will assist with job seeking through the in kind provision of more than 40 Konekt Employ™ places this year.

We were delighted to attend the launch on 8 April in Canberra where the Prime Minister and Minister of Defence officially launched the program. We, along with the other partners, planted a Lone Pine symbolising the strong foundations being laid by the program for the future success of our wounded men and women and their families.
