Selecting the correct HSR training course is an important step in ensuring compliance with Work Health and Safety legislation. Whether you’re operating in the Australian Capital Territory, or under the Commonwealth jurisdiction, we’re here to help you select the correct course.
If you work for a Federal Government Agency or Department, or for private businesses registered under ‘Self-Insured Licensees under the SRC Act’, you will need to undertake the Comcare approved HSR training course.
If you work for an ACT Government Agency or Department, or for privately registered ACT businesses, you will need to undertake the WorkSafe ACT approved HSR training course.
Our HSR initial training (5 days) is a comprehensive program designed to equip you with the knowledge and practical skills to confidently represent your work group and contribute to a safer workplace. Over five days, you’ll gain a solid understanding of your responsibilities under WHS legislation and learn how to identify hazards, manage risks, and effectively consult with your team to resolve health and safety issues.

The HSR refresher training course (1 day) gives HSR’s and deputy HSR’s the opportunity to review the knowledge, skills and experience gained through the initial five-day course, obtain updates on recent case law and the implications for their workplace, and discuss issues that they have encountered in their role as a HSR/Deputy HSR in a safe and supportive environment.
